Objectives
The main goal of TYM is to highlight mental health-related experiences and diseases among secondary school students and teachers and support socio-emotional well-being.
This will be achieved through the following objectives: O1. To raise awareness on mental health conditions among secondary school teachers and students O2. To foster best practices sharing in the field of mental well-being among secondary school teachers O3. To empower secondary school teachers with the competences and resources needed to promote mental well-being in education O4. Awareness campaign |
March - August 2024The awareness campaign aims at raising awareness on mental health and targets 1000 individuals among teachers, staff, psychologists, social workers working in secondary school and students of secondary school aged 14-18, but also local stakeholders and the general public. The campaign will use various online and offline channels to reach out to the targeted participants, including social media campaigns, awareness videos, participation in events, opening of listening points and face-to-face meetings with local stakeholders.

Best practices’ open webinars |
May - June 2024TYM’s cycle of webinars includes 5 webinars focused on mental health topics. These sessions will be recorded and made available for sharing. They aim to unite over 100 participants, including teachers, educators, psychologists, and social workers from secondary schools, fostering the exchange of best practices in addressing mental health challenges.

Game-based Toolkit |
May 2024 - June 2025The Game-based Toolkit offers innovative and gamified teaching activities focused on mental well-being, SEL, resilience, and positive psychology. These activities are facilitated through game-based digital pedagogy. A minimum of 24 representatives, including teachers, educators, and secondary school students, actively participate in testing the tool at a local level. The Toolkit aims to equip educators with tangible resources to cultivate a socio-emotional learning environment that supports and includes students facing mental health challenges.

Training course on mental health and emotional well-being |
August 2024 - February 2025The training course, titled "Promoting Mental Health and Emotional Well-being in Schools," comprises a 25-hour program divided into 5 modules. The course aims to equip educators with competencies pertaining to the recognition of signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, addressing biases, promoting help-seeking behaviors, cultivating effective stress management and coping strategies, and fostering positive communication and empathy in relationships.

Workshop on mental health storytelling |
November 2025 - October 2025During the mental health storytelling workshop, participants have the opportunity to practice overcoming emotional barriers and prejudices while sharing their experiences. They also receive feedback and support from both their peers and workshop leaders. Twenty-five teachers and educators, along with 10 secondary school students from all partner countries, are engaged in testing the workshop

Collection of Video Testimony Lessons |
September 2025 - April 2026The collection of Video Testimony Lessons is based on real experiences concerning mental health challenges, methods of overcoming them, and the support received. The video testimony resources provided can build mechanisms by which hearing about a peer experience with a mental health challenge helps recognize one’s struggle and develops peer-support, which ultimately drives to address similar struggles.
